Judo is a traditional Japanese martial art comprised mainly of throwing and grappling (hold-downs, arm locks and chokes). The large team of Black Belt instructors with the RA Judo Club permits participants to receive individual instruction as required. Visit the RA Judo Club's website at www.rajudo.com to keep abreast of what’s new or coming up.
An Open House will be held on the first week of each new session.
Participants interested in trying their hand at this Martial Art
are welcome to attend a class as our guest. |
Adult
The RA offers Kodokan Judo instruction two evenings per week at the recreational level, from beginner to black belt for participants 15 years of age and older (exceptions must be approved by a Senior instructor). The Judo membership fee also covers access to the dojo for additional practice times after the formal evening classes and on Sunday mornings from 10:30am to noon during the regular season and throughout July and August on club nights. Beginners (white belts) will receive private instruction as required from one of our NCCP certified black belt instructors. A uniform is required and can be ordered through the club at a discounted rate.
